What a beautiful story about magic Africa. I haven’t been there in a year so I can’t wait to see Zimbabwe in August for your Safari.
You should write about Africa, it’s in your heritage, heart and soul. Few , if anyone , could write about Africa with such insight and love as you have in the story. Please write more!
I absolutely adored this story. I am being introduced to the mystery and awe of the African environment. You, however, provide that insigt at a degree of intimacy that is etherial. During this reading, we access the feeling of divinity and euphoria. Though it feel light and effortless, I know that it takes many years, months, and days to create such a dimensionless space.
Reading Yogi Tarchin and the cheetah, brought both smiles and tears to me, as well as warming my heart and filling me with peace and happiness. Please, please, definitely more African Buddhism. Thank you, David.
While reading your story of Yogi Tarchin and the cheetah I was transported to a beautiful. safe and loving place. I wish I could have been there, but thank you for enabling me to experience Africa and the event. I love cats, large and small, and the wonderful story of Bodhi and Football will make me smile for a long time. Thank you David
Thoroughly delightful story. I enjoyed seeing Yogi Tarchin again though your very descriptive story telling. I would love to join you on a Mindful Safari one day, perhaps next year. My this years big travel will be to Dharmsala for a ten day silent Bodhicitta meditation retreat led by Geshe Dorji at the Tushita Meditation Center. So, this year India, hopefully next year Africa. 💟🕉☮️
This is delightful, David, you are a wonderful storyteller, and I will return again and again to this enchanting place, physically and spiritually so beautifully evoked. Bless you xxx
A bliss filled story full of truth and light delightfully enjoyed in the early morning glow. The story contains and includes this true experience that is available to human (and perhaps others?) beings:
“ And just as he described, I felt waves of energy pass through my body, touching my crown, throat, and heart. Like pleasant shivers, subtle but tangible, they indicated the presence of some ethereal but quite palpable qualities I hadn’t even known that I possessed.”
This is such a powerful story that touches hearts (including mine). Many thanks.
As always that was beautiful and thought provoking. I always have a real uplift of anticipation and joy when I wake up to find your teachings in my Inbox. Thank you David and I hope you are well recovered from Covid🙏

I love this depiction of the wordless communication that comes from the heart and reunites two beings who are deeply connected.

I would love more African Buddhism! This story resonated very deeply as I lived in Marondera in the 1960s and had friends who lived in Ruwa

I want to experience African animals through your stories, especially if they have cats in them or elephants.
