I think with my heart about Shunyata quite a bit and the one thing I always come back to is God is everything , all knowing, the perfection of Love, Harmony and Beauty and We are One and because He is all knowing, for God, my past ,present and future, like anyone’s, has already existed and the part I experience is like the jet stream of a 747 .The plane left long ago .we couldn’t see it except for what it left behind so we know it was there….Our lives are creations of God and all we’re required to do is our best, create For Him, be kind and go home…until the next time ,learning more each lifetime until the “ end” when we know all the time we really always were and will be…That’s Our Enlightenment and we truly know, not think, but know We are One…call it spirituality, quantum physics or science….to me it’s all God…and on it goes🙏💗Adrienne

Dear Adrienne, I have heard some lamas say that 'God' is another word for 'shunyata' so there need not be a clash here. I guess it all comes down to how we interpret the word 'God' which is a conceptual term for a non-conceptual idea too big for words .. much like shunyata!

Agree…sometimes I wonder if a day might come when We will forget all the words and know beyond them . Or better yet not need words to explain what really in limited consciousness can’t be explained or interpreted …of course I love contemplating all the wondrous mysteries and I love words and all they evoke, like a form of music …their energy moves me along in this world….my term for God is actually Love. That’s what I believe in…”an idea too big for words….also like shunyata! “ Thank you once again for your gift every week…🙏 💗 in my mail box filling me with delight.

What a lovely post. One more book to dip or delve into. Had I not started down the Buddhist path last year, I would not have credited any non-science body of belief with being in touch with science. But, since reading your books, both fiction and fact and others on Buddhist teachings, I can't see how the two were ever separate. But, of course, this post does explain that very well. What now comes from this alignment, I wonder? What great strides will man now make? I do hope it is down the Buddhist path.

I love to see your pictures from your safari. You must share what local delights you had and if plant-based. Do the staff there have the same grasp on Buddhism and meditation as you do?

Many thanks for your kind message, Erin. The staff on the ground have no background in Buddhism, but they are starting to meditate with us, which is wonderful to see!

Right now I’m suffering from extreme brain drain, however that is no excuse to be perfectly truthful & say I really didn’t comprehend or understand the quotes & blurb. So sorry, but it’s me, not you. On another note the pictures of your recent group safari are fab & enviable of those wishing to travel but unable for various reasons…….thanks for your time & effort David.

Safari looks fantastic. Congratulations.

Some great quotes which might be summed up as: we know nothing about the universe we inhabit and very little about the little portion we exist in. Just my thought and not trying to compete with the great thinkers you have quoted.

Thank you David. It is amazing that an ancient philosophy is so neatly paralleled by the clear thinkers of the world of science. It is a difficult concept to grasp but once you have, it remains with you.

Thanks for the beautiful pictures.

Yes!! 🙌 there are so many parallels between quantum physics and Buddhism. And I think we can expand that to spirituality and science - even though they often seem worlds apart, they often converge!

I agree, Kensho. It seems that the more technical advances we make, the more we are able to validate Eastern wisdom.

Dearest David,

The fish escaped from my hands, I can’t grasp the concept about Shunyata.

But do agree about to get a cup of coffee while watching sunrise over the Zambezi River, must be amazing.

Your photos are amazing!

Thank you
