Thank you. That was most enlightening and I like you drifted in and out of practice.

However, when one reflects on the teachings you have received, there will be something that you hear or remember, that brings you back to the true path.

I am so glad Bingo is recovering. Bless all sentient beings. ❤️

Sending Bingo love and best wishes.

Cyndi, Thank you for your post. The last week a wildfire put my ranch of elderly/hospice horses and rescue cats in danger. We are all ok, but the middle of the night evacuation preparation was traumatic for everyone.

I really did not feel up to reading this weekend’s post.

Then had a couple minutes and so grateful I did. The Stay the Course and Find refuge within yourself could not have been more aptly timed.

Things can happen that cause our energy, ability, motivation to wane. We can find ways to stay the course, doing something differently or less…

We can remain in a place of Love, regardless. For all sentient beings, love to you and David.

Many thanks indeed, Linda. It's interesting how often it happens that an appropriate message appears when we most need it. So sorry to hear about your midnight evacuation prep. I hope you didn't have to implement it? You are in our thoughts and meditations.

Thank you. 🙏💟

We evacuated 3 rescued burros and several cats. Did not need to move out our very senior horses nor the majority of kitties because of the incredible job the firefighters, air tankers, did containing the fire. As I write, rain is coming down—windows open to rejoice in the sound.

Linda, I’m so sorry you and your animals had to live through this frightening experience. So glad you are ok now and that the teachings of Gelek Rimpochr gave you some inspiration.

💜🙏🏽 Welcome Cyndi... A delightful read this morning. Both you and David are a good compliment to each other. I am currently on a work/vacay away from Colorado and am enjoying Kihei, HI and where we walk every night at sunset, the Ancient Ones come up onto the beach for a rest. Sometimes there are only 10 or 12 but the other night there were 32 of them ❣ the full moon lit the way. The energy was magical !!!

While I am not a practitioner, I take great comfort from the Dharma perspective that everything we encounter, especially that which scares us, teaches us to expand into greater consciousness to allow for a new understanding. Recognizing that we can't know how things will work out helps me invest less in the fearful story I tell myself and instead, trust that I am being guided to grow my soul, which is connected to all things. I'm at peace when I remember I am not alone.

Bingo is lovely and she wants to be loved. Wishing her a new and loving home.

Great idea to have Cyndi & you share your views. Enjoyed her article. It prompted me to remember that whenever a resistance appears; speak to it. Transcend it.

Thank you David for the introduction to Cyndi. I've seen her posts on Substack but was wavering on subscribing. I will take this as a much-needed nudge.

Thank you Cyndi for sharing. I too take yoga, and have recently thought that one instructor talks too much. I'm craving the quiet to let myself process.

Warm regards,

Stacey

Dear David,

Thank you so much for sharing. It opened my mind for the Yoga poses. I personally find myself during freediving with the amazing sea turtles in a very present meditative state.

Loved this article - thank you Cyndi. I can relate to taking on commitments that became too much for me and then feeling guilty about not doing them. I had a teacher who advised me to let it go. Nice to read what your teacher advised you.

Delighted Bingo is doing well - what a lovely photo!

Thank you David for introducing us to Cyndi. And to Cyndi for your wisdom. The reminders of how we apply the teachings in our life is always helpful. I love how Cyndi said that we can take refugee in ourselves by taking refuge in our practices. So simple and comforting- our practices are the bowl that holds and supports us while we keep cooking ourselves!
