Dear Readers, I’d like to share a couple of short articles that I hope you find useful and encouraging! The first article is for meditators, including those of you who decided to take up the Six Week Meditation Challenge which, incidentally, isn’t time-sensitive. There is never a bad time to start or resume it!
Thank you so much, David, for sharing our story of Summer and Annabelle! I am pleased to report that both are doing incredibly well and it is so lovely to watch and learn from a healthy, bouncy baby, for a change. Normally, our hearts are in our mouths, with the anxiety of a sick and traumatised calf. Marsie has also joined the ranks of "Nanny" and she is proving to be excellent! The calf is loving swimming time and is keeping everyone entertained with her hilarious antics! Much love xxx

As someone who doesn't really see eye to eye with technology , I haven't looked at any apps.
I will now ....expand my horizons! Maybe even improve my relationship with my phone!!!
As for the BEAUTIFUL birth, That is a real light in a dark world at the moment, the pics are delightful, Congratulations to Annabel, Summer, Auntie and the devoted team who helped.
I don’t think I have ever been so moved by a story, tears of joy were streaming down my face. Thank you so much for sharing. The elephant personalities are just adorable and the joy shared by the elephants and humans alike was incredible. Thank you and much love to you and the elephant.
So wonderful to hear a positive story about animals, especially in Africa. Often there is so much suffering and it's heartbreaking. It's lovely to read about Summer and her adventures and have this uplifting image of 3 happy elephants celebrating life. Thank you David and Roxy.

What a truly wonderful elephant story - the love and compassion of the Carers just shines in every word! I am honored to have a small part in supporting this work.
Oh my gosh! The elephant story was such a beautiful start to the day. Priceless little thing!
In respect of apps - I often use them, especially on the days when I'm a little too wired.
I use three that are readily available. One is Smiling Mind (an Australian-developed programme and personally, I think is very good and very simple), one is Calm (I only use their breathing app - the rest are a little too whizz-bang) and the other is Om Chanting @417HZ on youtube. The richness of the sound and chant is incredibly settling and it is that sound plus breathing and scanning with it that has led me to some amazing points in meditation.
I've loaded them onto my little MP 3 player, so they're portable with ear phones when I've been on a plane or in hospital.
However, I realise that unassisted meditation produces the best results, so will continue down that path as often as I can. I suppose though, it's better to have assisted meditation, than no meditation at all?
