These posts are perhaps my favorite of all. Sitting here.in arizona with all that I need and so much more, I cherish the heart-felt connection with rural Zimbabwe through our intermediary, you, David. Lines of practical loving kindness crisscrossing the planet. Thank you!

As an animal lover, and especially a lover of cats, I would like to donate something each month to the animals cared for at Twala. How might I do that? Also, I loved the photo of the mom cat and kittens surrendered to the Twala shelter. Thank you for caring for them. I am sure they are spayed and neutered - what happens to them, then? Blessings on your loving kindness.

Than you so much, Cheryl! There are two ways to donate to Twala directly. One is through the US-based organisation Animal Kind, who pass on 100% of donations: https://www.animal-kind.org/twala-trust-zimbabwe The other is via Paypal: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=FXZA4UBZ5KZTW

Sarah and the team at Twala will be so very grateful for any donations. These are hard times in Zimbabwe and they really appreciate anything that we outsiders do to help them!

The cats live at Twala until they can be rehomed.

I have been following Twala Animal Sanctuary for quite a while now and am so pleased that some of my subscription goes towards helping them. I love Sarah's comments about the animals and the varied situations at Twala. I especially love the support to the communities as well as the animals. They and you are living with such compassionate and loving actions. From my warm bed here in cold Sydney I send my deep appreciation. The connections of love around the world through your and their work is inspiring.

Beautifully written….many tears of Joy that so many are cared for and sending so much Love to you ! Working in rescue I understand the heartbreak of finding “ dumped” and mistreated animals and I send compassion to those people who just don’t understand that animals are sentient beings…You and the caregivers there are our angels on Earth clearly, You have a great purpose. And LOVE in your hearts to spare! Thank you for being a leader in animal compassion and a lover of adults and children who benefit greatly from your work…💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓- Adrienne

Thank you for sharing and all the good things that you have done. Is there a way to donate directly to Twala? I may not be able to subscribe to you through substack on a monthly basis but I do find times when I could donate to help Twala.

Sarah certainly has a wonderful way with words that draw on my emotions, especially being an avid dog lover/ owner over many many years. It must be such a struggle to maintain the Doggy Tuesdays with so many. Heartfelt thanks for your contributions to this team of dedicated animal lover’s & rescuers.

What a delightful message. They really do cover the whole ambit of caring. The animals first, the people/owners second and then the community to protect the community from wild animals rather than just shooting them.

A real wholistic approach. Her words are exquisite and brings it home to one, how lucky we are. She had me in tears. How can anyone not love a dog or a cat? I just don’t understand people like that.

Thank you so much for passing it on. It was delightful.

Dear David! Thank You So Much for sharing the letter from Sarah. It was just beautiful and heartfelt. I just can’t imagine how it would feel to live in Zimbabwe and not have enough to care for your dogs and cats. I am so glad you have been there and continue to help through your writings to support those working at Twala! I love hear about Doggy Tuesday. You are a blessing to each of us readers.

How can I donate to Twala? - those wonderful people deserve my help to help the animals in a very underprivileged part of the world.

If I just up my monthly donation to you, will most of it go to the trust?

No, Winnie, donations are spread across the different causes we support: each of them most deserving.

Thanks - I am sure all the charities are deserving - but I have a special place in my heart for animals. I donated to Twala through the link you provided. Thanks for the info
