I've now read this book 4 times. I think it is superb. A very fine piece of writing. I have really enjoyed it, in line with all of David's previous books. Each one has been better than to ones before and all have even improved with later readings. Thank you, David for taking us on this wonderful journey. You are doing a great service.
I have just read The Dalai Lama's Cat and the Four Paws of Spiritual Success. I'm intrigued by the mention "...had to visit the vet, Dr Axel Munthe, who had ...". A favourite book over years has been The Story of San Michele by Axel Munthe and I have a biography of Axel Munthe written by his son and one other. Is this where you knew the name from?
