Dear David,

Thank you (and Gary and Susan!) for sharing this story of kindness and generosity. Every day we are bombarded with news of the terrible things we do to each other and our world until we begin to despair for the human race. It's absolutely essential to remember that news reporting is completely lopsided--compassion and generous action (like this story) are happening all the time, but tend not to appear in the news. It reminds me of a saying attributed to the writer, Mark Twain: "Always do the right thing. You will astonish some and gratify the rest."

Thank you for reminding us of the good we can do in the world, one act at a time.

Best wishes, Misha

What a beautiful and uplifting article, particularly being able to see the smiles and bright lights in the children's eyes as they are able to play! It is not often that we get to see the results of donations up close and personal! Thank you! I am on a fixed income but will make an effort to help!💖

After such a convoluted 'journey' to finally get the standing frame - what an achievement to finally succeed and with such success for those children.

Dear David. What a great story of perseverance! The Chitungwiza Relief Day Care Centre for children with disability is an oasis in the desert that is Zimbabwe's social security non-system. Thank you for the update and for supporting them. Gold star to Gary and Susan!

Any chance of you taking another frame into Zimbabwe as luggage on one of your annual retreats? Would it dodge the delays and other impediments?

At least the wheelchair seems like a less complicated option! Thanks for the suggestion.

Thank you for sharing this story. I've been thinking about it ever since, especially when I go to the store or buy some silly thing or hug my children or when we all walk together through our neighborhoods. Today instead of buying some silly thing I donated to ROKPA to the Michie foundation. Thank you David.
